First and foremost, I want you to know that my office will treat you with respect and dignity. We understand that you and your family may be overwhelmed if you are facing foreclosure. I want to stress that there are solutions. There is hope. Please visit all the websites and read through the articles which I reference below.
Your peace of mind is important to me. I cannot promise that you will keep your home. However, I will evaluate your situation carefully and provide you with all of your options. After a consultation, you will be able to make informed choices and gain a sense of control over your circumstances.
Truthfully, some clients keep their homes. Some clients sell their homes. Some clients lose their homes in foreclosure. But all of my clients are conscious of their rights and are able to make the best decisions in light of what they can control. The most important piece of advice I can give any person who is facing foreclsoure is to become informed and to take action based on the best information available to them.
Below I have listed some of the questions I commonly recieve. The answers that I provide are in no way meant to be considered the legal advice I would offer in your particular circumstances. Before your consultation I highly recommend that you complete my foreclosure/loan modification questionanaire. My advice to you will be based on the information you provide me. Among other things, it is important that I see the letters and notices that you have recieved from your lender. Please click here to obtain a List of the Documents I recommend you bring to your consultation.
My consultations last approximately 30 minutes. The consultation is not free. My consultation fee is $100. Should you retain my legal services, that sum will be credited to your retainer with my office. My fees are typically flat fees and they vary based on the services to be provided. I offer reasonable payment plans and those arrangement will be stated in the retainer you will sign to retain my services and will detail the services to be provided in detail.

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan's site is a great resource to obtain information about predatory mortgage "rescue" companies. You can file a complaint online at this site if you have been a victim of a foreclosure scam.
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development website has great information about Obama's Making Home Affordable Program and the Hope Program. We can help you apply for this program and other such plans.

Help! I contacted a company that said they would help me reduce my mortgage payments right before the interest rate on my mortgage was to adjust. They convinced me to stop making payments and now my mortgage company is threatening me with foreclosure. I already paid their fee. The “mortgage rescue company” claim to be working with my mortgage company to obtain a loan modification. I don’t want to lose my home. Now what do I do?
Sadly, we hear this every day all day. You may have been scammed by a "mortgage rescue company". First, begin to communicate directly with your mortgage company and carefully document your communication.
Then gather all your correspondence, receipts and records of your dealings with this company. We strongly ask you to consider filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. If your mortgage company offers you options, choose a path and work with them.
You may wish schedule a consultation with our office to have us assess your circumstances and determine which course of action best suits your needs. We can help you weigh your options and make an informed decision.
If we are retained to represent you then we will begin to work directly with your mortgagor to obtain a favorable outcome. You will be kept informed of our work. We don't make unreaslistic promises. The final decision on your home will either be determined by your mortgagor or a judge.
Our office will zealously advocate for your loan modification and present you to your mortgagor in the best possible light in order to have them consider a plan that will allow you to keep your home.
